The Polti steam cleaners were invented by the founder of the company named Franco Polti in 1978. Franco used to be a sales representative for professional irons made of steam. One day he was talking with a current client, and he saw a desire for a broiler iron that had and offered the same services that the professional iron did. They existed back then, but they were only used by cleaners, not by consumers.
In 1978 Franco invented the first steam iron that could be sold in the world for consumers. The first one invented was called the vaporella. In Europe this product sells more than 10 million units alone. That is an impressive number.
Once again in 1983 Franco Polti decided to take it up another notch and created the Vapoeetto. This product opened up the doors for Polti and his company to once again take over the market. In 1984, he found the first company that introduced stock and was born in Olgiate Comasco. The first factory in Bulgarograsso then soon followed. To this day, this is still the headquarters of the company which started in 1994.
He has since created more products over the years for consumers. In 1999 Polti created the Lecologico which was one of the first vacuum cleaners that used a water filter in the process. The Polti Steam Cleaners were a huge success. This used with the hepa filter not only created a wonderful vacuum that sucked up everything but also returned clean air out into your atmosphere. In 2000 he yet again launched another product called the Caporetto Lecoaspira. This unit was a combination of the two devices he created before. Therefore this had a steam cleaning technology combined with the vacuum cleaner with a water filter. It was an all in one unit of its kind. He does all the above of cleaning, washing, sucking, drying and returning clean air to your home.
Now in 2005 Polti joined up with the coffee market. Can you imagine being the owner of a steam cleaning product, then inventing a vacuum with water filter, and then wanting to get into coffee? I have to give it to Franco, he is a true business man with no limits. He makes an Espresso machine that he now sells all over the world that has done very well. The coffee also came in little capsules which was one of the first of its kind to be introduced. Now this concept is very big in the US and has been for a couple of years now.
In 2006 they created another system that was called the Sani System Polti. It is a patented indoor air sanitizer unit. He has a worldwide patent on it so that it can be sold everywhere. Polti Steam Cleaners have been and will continue to be a huge success worldwide
